For example use the same “About Us” copy on Facebook,Twitter, LinkedIn etc consistency across all platforms.

Avoid confusing your customers by having different taglines to describe who you are or what service’s your brand provides.

Branding your social media sites may be a simple activity but if you want to leave a lasting impression with your customers here are a few basic guidelines to get you there:


#1 Your Username

I mean it doesn’t get any easier, right? I disagree.

There is more to a name that you think, a unique name that is easy to remember and available on all platforms may be harder to craft than you think.

Same goes when choosing a domain name for your website it’s dependent on availability at the same time it’s best you use the same domain name for all your social media accounts.

It starts by reserving your name on all your social channels.

People will spend majority of their time focusing on visual graphics on your website more than anything else.

Graphics play a significant role in increasing conversions not only on your website but also on your social media accounts.

Having a visual identity simply means having a consistent color,font, and size such that if someone was to see your image somewhere else on the internet they would instantly know that it’s your brand.

Bottom line keep the same name, profile pic, imagery and look across all your social profiles.



#3 Content

The content that you post or share on social media channels plays a huge part in your branding.

Populate your pages with relevant and consistent content across all your channels.

Please note that the content you post doesn’t have to be the same in all your networks you can switch things up by making sure it’s within the context of what your brand stands for.

#4 Track, Manage, and Monitor

Publishing on social media is not enough you need to track and measure that your efforts are actually bearing fruit.
